Does solar work?
Short answer, yes. There are some people who would like you to believe though that any solar system you have powers your house first. This is FALSE!! Without batteries your solar system does not provide your home with any power it generates unless you have batteries installed
Is solar expensive and will my state, county, or government cover the cost?
In some cases solar is expensive but with the financing options available it is very affordable. It will replace your current electric bill with some exceptions as some utility companies charge a fixed cost between $25-$30. But if your system is built correctly that is all you will pay once you have a summer season to build up credits to cover your usage year round! Or with a non-backup battery as an option. What is a non backup battery versus a backup battery?
Non-backup batteries are solar batteries that kick on once your sun goes down. They serve a very unique purpose as you can program them however you like and in some cases can store energy and then release it during times that will earn you larger credits therefore helping offset your utility bill costs
How long will my solar system last?
This is a very good question and one I get often. As it sits right now your solar system can produce as long as 40 years. Where do we get this number from? Well the very first solar farm that was built in the 1980s is still operational today and hasn't lost but a fraction of its initially produced production estimate.
Will hurricanes damage my panels?
Please refer to the video above. This video is of the damage that hurricane matthew had to Tyndall AFB in Flordia. If you take notice you will see that not only are the solar panels intact but they also helped save the portions of the roof that they were installed on.
What guarantees or warranties come with my panels or batteries?
My installer offers with no additional costs a 25 year production guarantee. This is a unique guarantee as it refers solely to the annual production drafted at the site survey. If any year your system underproduces we will come out and repair any panels that may have caused the issue at no cost to you. You may also qualify to have your payments during that year credited back to you as well!
If I already have a solar system installed and it is not working to what I understood it to can you help fix it?
If my installer was not the original installer then no I cannot help you repair your existing solar system. I can however take a look at your system and current electric bill and we can discuss your options moving forward.
